COMPOSITE DREAM

Strumming lightly on his guitar
The Vagabond Thief sings a quiet song
Wondering if Mona Lisa has read those headlines
Some have come screaming
Daily it seems
Tensions mounting
Spread across daily routines
Questions raised
Answers hidden in grey
Between black and white
Origins sought
Looking for missing links
To explain senseless acts
And old memories passing
As a matter of fact
While investigations become presentations
Packaged for hungary eyes
Ophelia pensively waits
Beneath an age old question mark
As a Founding Father repeats himself
Hoping the Truth will win out
Knowing past is prologue to the future
He read those words somewhere
Hard to remember where or when
Lost in a decade of whirlwinds
But he knows those images keep repeating
And repeating
Just like Sweet Lou said they would
Seeing the Pax Romana suspended
Like a roadmap of the mind
Waiting for the soul
Hoping it will be an time
Bits and pieces falling into place
Cassandra moving in
And out of space
Capsulized visions
Coming face to face
Staring at the wall
Where van Gogh has placed his thoughts
From last night's composite dream
